Sponsors:  The first step to becoming a successful sponsor is attending e-Sponsorship Application Training (eSAT). This is a Ministry of Defense training, it is mandatory for all new sponsors and sponsors who have not completed the eSAT training within the year prior to the new sponsorship assignment.

Training certificates must be submitted to your unit command support staff for unit sponsor program records. In addition to providing sponsor training, this site provides sponsors with information on the MilitaryInstallations and Plan Mi Move websites.

It also contains a sample welcome letter, a sponsorship checklist, and a newcomer and family Needs Assessment, which must be tailored to the needs of the incoming member and their family. Staff with dependents AND remote tour / dependent restricted location orders (meaning your dependents will NOT accompany you to your next location on your unaccompanied tour) MUST complete the M&FRC Remote Tour Briefing.

The briefing is held every Friday (unless otherwise stated) at 10:00-11:00. To complete your vMPF M&FRC assignment for CONUS / OCONUS relocation, you MUST attend a briefing. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend. Registration is required.

The program is intended to assist families who are in the process of moving from PCS. All ranks can be entitled to 20 hours of free childcare, per child, on the basis of departure and basis of arrival for up to 60 days.

Child care will only be provided in licensed family child care homes. Visit the Military and Family Readiness Center to receive a voucher. What began as an isolated airstrip on California's windswept prairie, with a few tarp huts and maintenance hangers, is now the site of the largest military airport in the United States, providing global mobility through airlift and aerial refueling.

The base has also supported humanitarian relief on every continent, as well as dedicated airlift support for everything from presidential travel to scientific research conducted by the US space program. Congratulations on your assignment at Travis Air Force Base!

We are ready to help you with your transition. Travis AFB is a great place to live and work. Located 50 miles from San Francisco, 40 miles from Sacramento and 135 miles from Lake Tahoe, there is an abundance of year-round activities in the local area.

The Travis Air Force Base location of UMass Global (formerly Brandman University) is located in the base's education center building. Located near the city of Fairfield, California, the campus has primarily served active duty military, veterans and their families since 1971. Civilian students are welcome, but require a basic permit.

UMass Global offers year-round sessions, flexible formats, tutoring, academic practice faculty, and exceptional educational value. New Spouse Orientation is designed to introduce new spouses to life at Travis AFB. In addition to learning about the area and its resources, participants have the opportunity to connect with new couples.

The Newcomer Spouse Orientation consists of two parts. Part I includes an important spouse "good/need to know" session, a resource briefing, and an information table. Part II consists of a minibus tour of the base, with stops at the hospital, outdoor recreation and the PAKS (passenger) terminal, followed by a free lunch.

Gateway to the Pacific" is a large military base with a long history, located in the northeast of Fairfield, Solano County, California, United States. It is located three miles from downtown and is named for Robert F. Travis, Brigadier General, who lost his life in the service of his country.

In addition to operational training facilities, the air base also has a museum and temporary exhibitions. The base is home to the David Grant US Medical Center (DGMC) which is the largest US Air Force medical center in the country and opened on July 1, 1943.
